Van Biljoens Appliance Services & Air Conditioning was established in 1956 and operates from Pretoria.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in Pretoria and serve the whole of Pretoria (East, North and West) plus surrounding areas such as Centurion. We do not cover the whole of Gauteng province.

How do I get a price?
Use Request a Quote and we'll get back to you. We quote on your specific requirements rather than offering online checkout.
Do you offer collection and delivery for appliance repairs?
Collection and delivery is available for domestic fridges and freezers (a transport charge applies, confirmed when you book). All other appliances — including portable air conditioners — are brought to our Pretoria workshop by the customer. Air conditioning repairs and servicing are done on-site.

How do I know what size aircon I need?
It depends on room size, sun exposure, insulation and use. We help you size it correctly — guessing leads to poor performance or wasted energy.
Do you supply and install, or supply only?
Both. Pricing is available as supply-only or as supply with back-to-back installation.

Air Conditioning Repairs & Servicing
Do you repair and service air conditioners on-site?
Yes. Air conditioning repairs and servicing are done on-site at your home or business — you don't need to remove or bring in your unit.

My aircon isn't cooling — can you help?
Yes. Common causes include low refrigerant or a dirty system; we'll diagnose and quote.

Appliance Repairs
How much is the assessment fee?
A R300 assessment fee is paid upfront when you hand your appliance in; it covers inspection, testing and diagnosis. If you accept the repair quote the R300 is deducted from the total. If you decline, or if the appliance cannot be repaired (e.g. spares are unavailable), the R300 remains payable for the assessment work performed.
How long until I get a quote?
Usually 1 to 3 working days. Timing depends on suppliers providing us with pricing and confirming parts availability.
Do you collect and deliver?
Collection and delivery is available for domestic fridges and freezers (a transport charge applies in addition to the assessment fee, confirmed when you book). All other appliances are brought to our Pretoria workshop by the customer.
How does the workshop process work?
Bring the appliance in and pay the assessment fee, then assessment, quotation, your approval, repair, testing, and collection.
